Avantek Machinery has unveiled the country’s first comprehensive working machinery showroom, giving customers the opportunity to see potential purchases in action before committing to buy.
The showroom was revealed as part of the Grand Opening of Liniar House, an impressive new 178,000ft² facility in Denby, Derbyshire operated by Avantek Machinery’s parent, the Flamstead Group
More than 150 invited guests attended the event to see Lord Digby Jones officially open the building. The former Director General of the CBI and Business Ambassador of UK Trade and Investment was given a tour of the whole operation by group CEO Roger Hartshorn, before giving an inspirational speech and praising the achievements of all involved.
Avantek’s Sales Director Nigel Bishop addressed the attendees and discussed the range of fabrication machinery on display in the showroom before inviting them to take a look for themselves.
“We believe that our showroom is the only one of its kind in the UK,” said Nigel. “It gives us the unique opportunity to show our customers exactly what they will be investing in and how it operates. They can touch, feel and trial and before buying, often from stock. We even have a fully operational Supercut cutting and machining centre for visitors to see!
“As official dealers for both Wegoma and URBAN machinery, the showroom features a range of models from both manufacturers; from transom groovers, quad welders and bead saws to corner cleaners – all running alongside two of our own highly successful Supercut machining centres.
“Because we are part of the Flamstead Group, a division of Quanex Building Products, we’re able to invest heavily in machinery and spare parts, stocking both ready for when our customers need them. We supply a full and comprehensive product range from hand tools up to CNC controlled production lines.
“The showroom enables us to demonstrate to customers the quality of what we supply and how they can improve their own operations.
“Everyone who attended the open event was very impressed with the facilities and we had a lot of positive interest throughout the day.”
